Location: IVO Tumbas, Al-Fashir, North Darfur, Sudan

48 hours ago, in a high-stakes operation, TF 45 rescued two foreign workers from an Azearian militia safehouse. The intel for the location was provided by Samark Security Group (SSG) contractors, who had been gathering intelligence from local HUMINT sources across various urban areas of Sudan. These hostages were among many reported missing following the violence in Duju between April and July.

Recent escalations by Azearian State rebels from Chad, including the abduction of Sir Edward Thatch in April and the seizure of Habillah District’s government headquarters, have forced JCTSF to maintain TF 45 as a permanent unit, tasked with countering Azearian militia operations in Sudan.

The safehouse was confirmed to be an abandoned warehouse in the Tumbas suburbs of Al-Fashir. Inside, the team discovered stockpiles of weapons, bomb-making materials, and narcotics. In the basement, they located the two hostages. Special forces neutralised all enemies and safely extracted the hostages, both of whom were physically compromised but stable.

Concurrently, Phase Two targeted the insurgent command cell on the upper floors. The ensuing engagement led to the capture of key militia leaders, including a high-ranking Azearian commander who has been on the Joint Prioritised Effects List (JPEL) since Operation Namsos in July.

However, during the assault, the SSG team that provided the intelligence on the safehouse location was attacked at their covert compound in southern Al-Fashir. The SSG team was quickly cut off, and despite an attempted rescue by a TF 45 team, the contractors remained stranded.

With more Azearian forces closing in on the SSG compound, TF 45 is put on immediate turnaround to respond.
