Operation Tombola

13-14 June 2026: Themed Game, Catterick OBUA

Location: Uzonboyat Azerbaijan

In the aftermath of the brutal fighting for Uzonboyat, Russian forces have succeeded in seizing the town, securing the critical junction and Azerbaijan’s drone research facility. The capture provides Moscow with a symbolic and logistical foothold, tightening its grip on the corridor toward Baku. However, the victory is far from decisive.

Unbeknownst to Russian command, elements of TF-94, including UK Special Forces, executed a high-risk interdiction operation during the final stages of the battle. Acting on fragmented but time-sensitive intelligence, they ambushed and captured a significant Russian munitions convoy attempting to reinforce forward units. The seized stockpile consisting of artillery shells, guided munitions, and fuel has since been either repurposed or destroyed, denying Russian forces critical combat sustainment.

Simultaneously, demolition teams infiltrated the outskirts of Uzonboyat and successfully destroyed the primary bridge linking the town to the northern axis. This single act fractures Russia’s operational tempo. What was intended to be a launch point for continued southern momentum is now a logistical bottleneck.

Russian units inside the town are effectively holding ground without the means to exploit it. Supply shortages begin to mount, coordination falters, and pressure from persistent irregular attacks intensifies.

Uzonboyat becomes a paradox; captured, but strategically compromised, another gain that quietly feeds the growing instability behind Russia’s advance.
